Former Patriot Jerod Cherry

Super Bowl Ring With Cherry On Top

The Super Bowl ring is a symbol of commitment and success. Tom Brady of the New England Patriots just won the fifth of his legendary career in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons. Only NFL Hall of Famer Charles Haley has as many as Brady. Jerod Cherry, a former teammate of Brady, earned three during his career. Driven by his faith, Cherry decided to auction off one of those rings to raise funds to build Doi Saket 4, an orphanage in Thailand. He picked the ring that had the most importance to him which he said had to do with the biggest sacrifice and indicator of his faith. That turned out to be the first ring he received from the Patriots historic win over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. Cherry’s donation changed the lives of many children. Without the money from that ring, many of them would not have a home, an education, or caretakers.
