Cam Newton turned into Santa Claus over the holiday, granting a wish to one of his biggest fans. The quarterback of the Carolina Panthers flew to Atlanta on his off-day to meet with Taylor Deckard, a 10-year-old boy with a severe heart condition. Newton learned of the boy’s wish recently through a Facebook post and talked with Deckard’s parents to arrange for a meeting. In his hospital bed wearing a number two Auburn jersey, which is the number Newton wore playing for the Tigers in college, Taylor was stunned beyond words when he saw his super hero walk into the room. After a brief moment, Taylor lunged at Newton and gave him a big hug. Wow. Talk about a great Christmas gift and a moment to cherish forever.
