Bryan Bickell Says Good-Bye

Bryan Bickell had a storybook ending to a career that was tragically cut short. The NHL veteran, who won three Stanley Cups while playing for the Chicago Blackhawks, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November at the age of 31. Bickell, who was in his first year with the Carolina Hurricanes, recently announced he would retire after the team’s last game of the season in Philadelphia. Bickell really made it count. Bickell scored during a shootout of the team’s 4-3 win over Philadelphia. “I think I sweat all the tears out, so I don’t know if I have much left,” Bickell said. “It’s been an emotional week.” For more on Byran Bickell, please visit
