APTOPIX France Hour Record 105 Years Old
To Robert Marchand of France, there are really no limits to anything. The 105-year-old cyclist recently set a world record by riding 14 miles in one hour. Think about that for a second. Marchand, at the age of 105, went 14 miles per hour. Incredible. Marchand, who stands just 5 feet tall and weighs a mere 115 pounds, set the mark on a curved indoor track in Le Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, near Paris. Marchand didn’t take up the sport seriously until he was 68-years-old. “I am not here to be champion,” Marchand said. “I am here to prove that at 105-years-old, you can still ride a bike.” Marchand certainly did just that and proved that age really is just a number.
